1. Preamble
The protection of your personal data is particularly important to Twinned. Your data is processed exclusively in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG) and the Telecommunications Act (TKG).
This privacy policy informs you about the most important aspects of the processing of personal data carried out by Twinned in accordance with Articles 12-14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

No data protection officer has been appointed, as this is not required by law.

Twinned, collects, processes and uses your personal data only within the framework of the contractual relationship for the purposes agreed with you or with your consent or if there is a legal basis in accordance with the GDPR.
Twinned only collects personal data that is necessary for the performance and processing of its services arising from the business relationship or that you provide to Twinned voluntarily.

Twinned receives your data from you as its business partner or website user. Your data will be processed to fulfil the contractual relationship and to fulfil any legal obligations.
Twinned will not process the data provided for purposes other than those covered by the contractual relationship or by your consent or otherwise by a provision in accordance with the GDPR. Your consent can be revoked at any time.
6. Duration of Data Storage
The data will be stored by Twinned during the contractual relationship and beyond for a period of at least 7 and a maximum of 30 years after termination of the same. This is mostly to be able to fulfil retention obligations under company and tax law and as long as warranty and compensation claims make it necessary for the data to be processed.
Once this period has expired, the data is deleted or anonymized to such an extent that it can no longer be traced back to individuals.
7. Right of Data Subjects
As Twinned‘s contractual partner or user of their website, you have the right at any time in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR to

If you believe that the processing of your personal data by Twinned violates the applicable data protection law or your data protection claims have been violated in any other way, you have the option of complaining to the competent supervisory authority. In Austria, the Data Protection Authority is the competent authority.
8. Data Security
Your personal data is protected by appropriate organizational and technical precautions. These precautions relate in particular to protection against unauthorized, unlawful or accidental access, processing, loss, use and manipulation. Notwithstanding our efforts to maintain an appropriately high level of due diligence at all times, it cannot be ruled out that information that you disclose to Twinned via the Internet may be viewed and used by other persons.
Please note that we therefore accept no liability whatsoever for the disclosure of information due to errors in data transmission not caused by us and/or unauthorized access by third parties (e.g. cyberattack).
9. Transmission of Data to Third Parties
In order to fulfil the contract, it may be necessary to forward your data to third parties (e.g. lawyers, insurance companies and service providers that Twinned uses and to whom they make data available, etc.). Your data will be forwarded exclusively based on the GDPR, in particular for the fulfilment of the contract or on the basis of your prior consent.
Some of the above-mentioned recipients of your personal data are located outside your country or process your personal data there. The level of data protection in other countries may not be the same as in Austria. However, Twinned only transfers your personal data to countries for which the EU Commission has decided that they have an adequate level of data protection, or we take measures to ensure that all recipients have an adequate level of data protection, for which we conclude standard contractual clauses.
